Theoretical Orientation
My theoretical orientation is mainly person-centered. This means that I am more concerned with the process of being rather than doing. I believe it is essential to understand every clients point of view and become involved in the way they see the world. As with any theory, the foundation of person-centered therapy are the core conditions of authenticity, unconditional positive regard and empathy.
Techniques
Although my theoretical orientation is person centered, I enjoy utilizing techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Behavioral Therapy. I am open to coming at client difficulties in any way that might be helpful to the client and is Evidence Based.
